COLOR SERIES
Black is a volume knob, not a personality
Black absorbs light. Everything else — power, grief, eyeliner — is culture piled on the physics.
Black absorbs light. That part is physics. Everything else is culture stacked on a high-contrast uniform: concert tees, funeral clothes, eyeliner, a slide deck that wants to look expensive. In one room black reads as power. In another it reads as grief. Same absence of bounce. Different script.
Your visual system is doing contrast math. Your community is doing story math. Neither math is a mood disorder. A black hoodie is not a diagnosis, and a colorful feed is not proof you are okay.
If a dark period in clothes or drawings is tangled with hopelessness, skip the aesthetic reading. Talk to a person you trust, or use 988. Style can hold a feeling. It cannot treat one.
