COLOR SERIES
Blue is a sky, a link, and a cliché
Trust-button blue and sad-song blue are costumes. Some people find it calming. That is not a prescription.
Blue shows up as trust in app buttons, calm in spa ads, and sadness in songs. Those are overlapping costumes on the same stretch of wavelengths. A pool, a bruise, a login screen, and a clear day are not one emotion.
Some people study better under cooler light; some find it chilly and wide. Lighting and contrast can change how awake you feel. That is not the same as “wear sky blue, fix anxiety.” BrainFacts reminds us that color is constructed in the brain from cone signals — personal, a little messy, not a sticker.
If blue helps you work, use it. If you feel urgent, low, or unsafe, the useful move is still a person or 988, not a new duvet. Palettes are allowed to be fun. They are not care.
